TGPS/SPAQmd
The technological infrastructure implemented to support the TGPS/SPAQmd system enables remote access – from a joint and seamless platform – to common administrative functions, all installation control modules, parking area equipment and voice communication with clients/visitors. In addition, all these functions automatically interact with each other. Therefore, the firm’s authorized staff member is able to access, in virtual reality, the different parking areas and service centres from the same entry point.
On June 6, 1998, SPAQ won the prestigious 1998 OCTAS award, Technology Category, at the 12th Gala of the Fédération de l’informatique du Québec.
SPAQ received this honour for its innovative, efficient and high-quality management and integrated control tool: TGPS/SPAQmd. This new concept links all administrative functions to the operational tasks of the parking areas it manages all over Québec, for important public and private sector clients.
TGPS/SPAQmd was conceived by taking into account the rapid changes of the technology being used. Consequently, TGPS/SPAQmd clearly benefits from an open and scalable architecture that enables the rapid application of the control, integration and communication process. Employees from all sectors of the company collaborated and participated in the research and development of this unique concept.
TGPS/SPAQmd enables operations and several administrative functions to be accessed remotely.
By constantly reinvesting in innovation thanks to unique and exclusive solutions, SPAQ is able to reduce the number of players needed to control all the parking areas while still increasing partners’ net income. Feasibility studies steadily show that SPAQ methods reduce the number of players (and consequently costs) while guaranteeing the highest level of control, quality and service.
Another of SPAQ’s distinctive features is the implementation of a “claim” service to dissuade non-paying users. This method is very profitable for parking area owners because it eliminates non-paying users. Thanks to its claim service, all users of the parking area are constantly monitored and claim notices are issued in cases of unauthorized use of the parking space. SPAQ’s claims department carries out a computerized tracking of “claim notices” and also ensures that any outstanding payments are made.
SPAQ provides services all over Québec and follows ISO 9001 standards. It offers a full range of parking operation services, from design to computer security.
